Golf Outing Celebrates 20 Years of Scholarships

Sunday, June 11, 2017, was a great day for the Kids' Chance of Pennsylvania 12th Annual Golf Outing. The golfers who arrived to "Tee Off for the Kids" in support of our mission had time to network before enjoying lunch and had an absolutely beautiful day outside on the golf course. We are pleased that the funds raised through the Golf Outing will provide scholarship grants for college and vocational education to children of Pennsylvania workers who have been killed or seriously injured in a work-related accident.

In celebration of our efforts over the past twenty years, we highlighted our sponsors at a special 20th Anniversary Luncheon. Without the support of our dedicated sponsors, we would not be able to reach our goal of "more money, to help more kids." We are pleased to continue to make a difference in our community through the generosity and support of our sponsors.

Kids' Chance of PA President Chris Davis welcomed golfers to the recognition luncheon and provided the latest and greatest news from Kids' Chance of PA. Following the acknowledgment of our Partners and Scholar Sponsors, scholarship recipients Tyler Stull, who is attending Philadelphia University, and Josiah Mercer, a student at Penn State Berks, inspired the group with their remarks. They each shared their own personal story with one familiar theme: sincere thanks to Kids' Chance for the scholarships that have helped them pursue their educational goals.

Josiah and Tyler are remarkable young adults with very bright futures. Knowing that we played a small part in their success makes what we do worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped to support Kids' Chance of PA. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2018!
