2016 Kids' Chance Walk/Runs
The Kids' Chance of PA Walk/Runs have been an annual event for the organization since 2008, raising more than $100,000 to provide scholarships to children of injured workers. This year was no different. On October 2, at the 2016 Walk/Run in Harrisburg, approximately 85 participated in both the 5K and 10K events raising scholarship dollars for our students. Thank you to all who attended, sponsored and volunteered at the event. It wouldn't have been a success without you.
We were thrilled to have student scholarships recipients in attendance. The overwhelmingly positive nature of this event embodies our mission to provide every child whose parent was seriously or fatally injured in a workplace accident with the support necessary to successfully attend college. The Walk/Run was in one city over one weekend with one mission to support: helping these children achieve their educational dreams.
2015 Kids' Chance Walk/Runs Raise Over $30,000 with 230 Participants
Kids' Chance of PA held their annual 5/10K Walk/Run events earlier this month in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. These two events combined were attended by over 230 people, which included individuals, families and corporate teams and raised over $30,000.
In both locations, Eastern Alliance Insurance Group took home the trophy for the Corporate Challenge Team award where the times of the first five finishers for the 5K run will be added together and the team with the lowest combined time will be the winner.
The Pittsburgh event was attended by Maurio, a current scholarship recipient and his parents who expressed their gratitude for all Kids' Chance of PA does for Maurio and his sister Jenna.
