KCPA Scholarship Application Portal for 2024-25 IS NOW OPEN!
Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania provides college or trade school scholarship grants to children of Pennsylvania workers who have suffered a traumatic injury or death at the workplace or in the line of duty. The scholarship application portal for the 2024-2025 school year is now open! Please click the link below to create your account and upload your information. This link is for NEW APPLICANTS ONLY! **We are aware of the delays in the processing of the federal student aid information (FAFSA), and the subsequent potential delay on our applicants in receiving their financial aid decisions from their college or university financial aid office. If you are unable to meet the deadlines listed above, please know that an automatic grace period has been extended to you. Please send your information as soon as possible.**
We will need the following information from you, the applicant: 1) Your 2024-25 FAFSA Submission Summary (when you receive it), 2) Your 2024-25 Financial Aid Award Letter if you are a high school senior, or your Spring 2024 Student Account Statement if a current college student, and 3) your latest Transcript.
From your parents, we need documentation showing proof of compensable injury or death. Examples of acceptable PA Bureau Documents: Notice of Compensable Payable (LIBC 495), Agreement for Compensation for disability or permanent injury (LIBC 336), Agreement for Compensation for Death (LIBC 338), Compromise and Release Agreement (LIBC755), and Judge’s Decision awarding compensation benefits. NEW in 2024 – you have the option to grant KCPA permission to access your workers’ compensation documentation from the PA Bureau of Workers’ Compensation if you don’t have the forms readily available.
All documents can be uploaded to the scholarship portal as they become available, and the final deadline for all documentation is June 15, 2024.
Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than September 2024.

Because I am a Spanish a major, studying abroad in a Spanish-speaking country is highly recommended. Because of my Kids’ Chance scholarship, I had the wonderful experience of spending six weeks studying Spanish at Univeritas Castellae in Valladolid, Spain this past summer.
