KCPA Scholarship Application Portal for 2021-22 is NOW OPEN!

Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania provides college or trade school scholarship grants to children of Pennsylvania workers who have suffered a traumatic workplace injury or death. We are pleased to announce the scholarship application portal for the 2021-2022 school year is now open! Please click the following link to create your account and upload your information:

We need the following information from you, the applicant: 1) Your 2021-22 FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR), 2) Your 2021-22 Financial Aid Award, 3) your 2021-22 Student Account Statement, and 4) your latest Transcript.

From your parents, we need documentation showing proof of compensable injury or death. Examples of acceptable PA Bureau Documents: Notice of Compensable Payable (LIBC 495), Agreement for Compensation for disability or permanent injury (LIBC 336), Agreement for Compensation for Death (LIBC 338), Compromise and Release Agreement (LIBC755), and Judge’s Decision awarding compensation benefits. 

All documents can be uploaded to the scholarship portal as they become available, and the final deadline for all documentation is May 15, 2021

In the application portal, you can skip between pages by clicking on the status bar at the top of the screen without having to enter the information. Meaning if you have just 2 of your documents to upload, you can upload them and move on to another section of the application.

The Registrar’s Office and Financial Aid Office Forms are available for download in the application and are due between August 1-15, 2021. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid-October 2021.

Because I am a Spanish a major, studying abroad in a Spanish-speaking country is highly recommended. Because of my Kids’ Chance scholarship, I had the wonderful experience of spending six weeks studying Spanish at Univeritas Castellae in Valladolid, Spain this past summer.
